AYJ Director, Pippa Goodfellow, was appointed to the Youth Justice seat on the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3). The group is convened by Clinks and provides a key interface between the voluntary sector and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), in order to increase mutual understanding and build a strong and effective partnership. The group is made up of senior experts from the voluntary sector and meets quarterly with civil servants to provide guidance and feedback on MoJ policy developments. AYJ Evidence Submission to the Commission on Young Lives

The Commission on Young Lives published its first report that warns that the current care system is unfit for purpose and is struggling to adapt to the needs of older children. The report made a series of recommendations to government, aimed at keeping children and young people safe from county lines, drug gangs and exploitation.

In case you missed it, the AYJ also recently submitted evidence to the Commission on Young Lives following their call for evidence focusing on children in, or at risk of involvement in, the justice system. We look forward to working with the Commission in their ongoing work in this area.
